Shipping & Returns

Please note that we ship only within the US at this time.  We do not ship to P.O. Boxes (including APO and FPO) or to the US Territories.

The return window for eligible items is 30 days from delivery/pick-up for either store credit or a refund to the original payment method.

There are no returns on undamaged clearance items, wound yarn, used/opened merchandise, or products with strong odors.

TIMELINE & METHOD

  • Returns of eligible items may be requested within 30 days of order delivery/pickup. Refunds may be for either store credit or a refund to the original payment method. Shipping charges are not refundable.

DEALS, SETS, & DISCOUNTS

  • For free-with-purchase deals, if the purchased item is returned and the free item is not, the regular price of the free item will be deducted from the refund.

  • For buy-one-get-one, yarn sets, and similar deals, if only a subset of the applicable items is being returned, the value of the refund will be calculated such that the full regular price has been paid for the item/items that is/are being kept.

  • For discounted and sale items, the price you paid will be the return value. This is not necessarily the original or current price.

SHIPPING CHARGES

Return shipping is not included - you must pay to ship the items to be returned back to us.

Each 50 gram skein is calculated at 0.11 lbs. Each 100 gram skein is calculated at 0.22 lbs.

Incorrect or Defective Items

Sometimes mistakes do happen. We will do our very best work with you to find the resolution that is best for you!

If we've shipped the wrong item or if an item is defective, please let us know by contacting us as soon as possible - ideally within 7 days. In these instances, Nordic Star Yarns will pay to ship you a replacement (if one is available) and provide a postage-paid label to send the incorrect/defective item back to us.

Damaged/Lost/Stolen Items

SHIPMENTS WITH ROUTE PACKAGE PROTECTION

Route shipping insurance provides optional protection for shipments that are lost, broken, or stolen.

Claims must be filed promptly!
- Damaged: Within 15 days of when the package was marked delivered
- Lost (domestic): Between 7* and 30 days from the last tracking update
- Lost (international): Between 20* and 30 days from the last tracking update
- Stolen: Between 5* and 15 days of when the package was marked delivered

* Route requires these wait-to-file periods for stolen and lost orders as packages are sometimes delayed in transit or prematurely marked as delivered.

SHIPMENTS WITHOUT ROUTE PACKAGE PROTECTION

Packages lost or damaged during shipping are out of our control and this does, though infrequently, happen. While we cannot take responsibility for the shipper's error, we will do our best to provide any information you need to file a claim with USPS/UPS/FedEx.

Protecting packages after delivery is, ultimately, the recipient's responsibility. Please have your package shipped somewhere secure and pick it up promptly. Theft of an item after the USPS/UPS/FedEx certifies it was successfully delivered won't qualify for an insurance claim through the shipper.
